Why The Toggi Website Is A Good Website Sample For Business

By Essie Osborn

A lot of retailers try to succeed in the virtual world by making great online websites and stores. A lot also fail due to clunky loading times and also confusing layouts that are too much to absorb in one go. Toggi, on the other hand has an interesting website that does not necessarily have all the bells and whistles, but it does get the job done.

One of the factors that make this website easy to use is that it loads fast. Even on a dial up connection the whole page loads up in just a few seconds. Faster connections of 1 mbps or more sees an almost instant connection with all the pictures loaded.

The simple design and layout, basically a full page on black background gives the loading speed a boost. On the left side of the site there are tabs delineating each of the main lines of products that the company offers in terms of outdoor apparel for men, women, children, and equestrian riders.

An interesting tab on the left of the site is one that deals with a technical guide. The guide basically covers the material usage of the items on sale and gives technical specs on each one in terms of how it can stand up to the elements. This is quite interesting and useful for first time buyers.

Clicking on any of the tabs on the left further opens up newer menus that are further subdivided into men, women and children sizes. What is also interesting is the occurrence of an accessories section wherein it shows offerings that are not in the clothing line such as bags, purses and even scarves.

Those addicted to social media will not feel lost in this site as links to popular social media are also included on it. Links are available for Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. A tab covering news for products is also included if one wants to know more about their products and product lines that are in the offing or just newly offered.

A further interesting thing that the company does on its site is a registration page for its products. It is a novel idea for people who have purchased products from their many stores to register these products, place of purchase as well as comments. It is a good after purchase marketing ploy to get current customers and keep them. The product registration page captures names, contact address and also comments on why one chose the product in the first place. The data on this is good for further market research and customer segmentation.

Thus the site gives designers or would be webmasters the key ingredients in what to look for in a website. Speed, simplicity and conciseness in providing and gathering information are handled well and in a straightforward manner. It is a fine example to use if one is teaching what the main components of a successful webpage and online business are.
