Gymnastics in Missouri is greatly advanced and is exercised at top levels in world competitions. As a competitive sport, it does not only base on agility, coordination, balance, and flexibility rather, it also requires power and physical ability to execute the elements comprised in the sport. Other levels involve participants of five years while others involve people of under twenty years and so on and so forth. Each level of participation requires a given level of skills with the highest being the international games.

Gymnastic encompasses various disciplines, which are all performed by athletes of world class. Some of these disciplines are team gym, tumbling, trampolining, aerobic, acrobatic, and artistic gymnastics. The most famous, which is the most practiced category too is artistic gymnastic. This category entails disciplines for both male and female participants. People of the same sex compete in each class of events. Apart from being a very competitive sport, gymnastic could be exercised as a recreational event.

The competitive version of the game can be exercised in both indoor and outdoor environments. The gymnasts perform while the judges, normally sitting at a higher position award marks. The scoring system is based on a score called an execution score. Execution score limits the total number of points one can ever achieve to 10. The judge subtracts points from the 10 points based on how efficient the gymnast is. What remains after the gymnast is through is also their final score.

Currently however, a new method of giving points known as difficulty score is gaining more preference. The score has no limitation to number of marks an individual can be awarded. It bases on how difficult the elements one executes are and how effectively they are done. The score also bases on whether or not one finishes all the events.

Difficulty score system is in use in the United States presently. It is seen as a revolution within the industry altogether. This score method has forced gymnasts to invest more training in executing skills correctly. They also try to perfect on linking skills to one another during performances. Properly linked elements during performances earns contestant many marks as it is a principal field considered during giving of marks.

Gymnastics in Missouri gets trained in elegant training facilities distributed uniformly in the place. There are many facilities and legendary gymnasts in the area to learn from. Facilities charge lowly and teach the best events for competition and recreational purposes.
