Tips for Effectively Toning Your Buns and Thighs

By Christopher Sward :

Burning fat from the buns and thighs and toning these areas is a common goal of many women. Toning the lower body can be more difficult than toning the upper body for some women. While any form of regular exercise will help with this goal, there are workouts that are more effective at targeting these areas. You may need some patience and persistence, but if you follow a good workout routine, such as the ones we'll be recommending below, you will eventually get the results you want.

Stairs provide an effective way to lose fat while toning your thighs. If you don't have access to an exercise machine such as a Stairmaster, you can use stairs in your home or at your work. You will get more benefits from running the stairs instead of walking them. Nothing like the long-established squat in which you use weights, this is a fully free form exercise that you do as rapidly as possible. For an added challenge, try taking the stairs two at a time. You can adjust the settings and difficulty level on exercise machines as you become accustomed to the movement. When you run up stairs, you are not only toning your buns and thighs but are also adding muscle to your lower body.

One of the most ideal exercises you can perform for your thighs, hips and buns are riding a bike. This can range from riding a bicycle down your street, mountain biking on craggy lands or a stationary bicycle at a gym. The movement is the same in all scenarios, and a thirty minute or greater workout on a bike can be phenomenal for your lower body. This is also an effective way to burn calories while you're improving your endurance and toning your muscles. If you're peddling a bicycle, going uphill will visibly be longer taxing and work your muscles more intensely, and if you're in a gym you can achieve the same by adjusting the resistance higher.

If you are looking to do an exigent workout that works the whole body and definitely the hips, thighs, buns and all the legs muscles then give kickboxing a try. Any fitness routine that expects you to lift your legs is a fabulous cardio workout and for making your leg muscles stronger and kickboxing will command you to do a range of kicks, each using a unique motion. Furthermore, there are punches that work your abdomen and upper body. While some people get to know kickboxing as a martial art, you can come across a plethora of gym workouts which are non-combative and will just have you kicking into the air, which is all you really need to do for getting a useful workout.

These are just a few of the best workouts to help you burn fat and tone your buns and thighs. Try varying your workouts such as performing some biking exercises like using an upright exercise bike every few weeks if you have trouble making progress. Every exercise will work the muscle groups differently which is why it helps to vary your exercise routine.
